ross 和 chandler 去看女友kathy 的扮演，没想到却是 kathy 和别人的一场床戏，这令 chandler 很是沮丧，回来后说道：i’m totally screwed.
1、be screwed 是一个常用俚语，意思是“被涮了、被诈骗了、完蛋了”。例如：the innocent girl was screwed by that playboy．
(那个单纯的小女生被那个花花公子耍了。)
2、screw up是“搞砸”的意思。
如：rachel 有一次一口气说了长长的一段话：
all right，how about i go over there and i will walk into chandler’s bedroom and i will see that thing that i think that i know is actually the thing that i think that i know!
可是她连一个字都没说错，用英语来说就是“she didn’t screw up a word．”这是很不简略的。
再如：
1. i screwed the tem-8 exam up totally．(我的英语专业8级考试完全考砸了。)
2. if you screw up again，you’ll be in trouble! (假定你再把作业搞得一团糟，你就费事大了!)
3. lifting those boxes really screwed up my back．(抬这些箱的确令我的背部遭到损害。)
3、其有用 mess up 也可以标明“把作业搞
砸”。例如：
his mistake messed up all our plans．(他的差错搞砸了咱们一切的方案。)
4、blow 这个词也可以标明上述意思。
如 joey 有一次说：i finally get my shot，and i blow it! (最终我是得到那个机缘的，可是我又搞砸了!)
再如：
we could have caught the criminal suspect，but you blew the whole
plan! (咱们本可以抓到那个违法嫌疑人的，可是你把整个方案都搞砸了!)
